As is true with many local and regional certified public accounting firms today, BST has found it beneficial to be affiliated with a national and international association of independently-owned accounting firms. Such an affiliation allows member firms to share information and resources, improve the quality of their work and better serve their clients.

The Firm is an independent member of the McGladrey Alliance, an extension of McGladrey, the brand name of RSM McGladrey and McGladrey and Pullen, who combined rank as the nation's 5th largest accounting and consulting firm. 

The McGladrey Alliance has experienced rapid growth, with nearly 100 independently-owned member firms.  Membership in the Alliance provides us with access to the latest technical information and professional development courses available. We are also afforded the opportunity to exchange management information and statistics, technical data, and professional experience with similar-sized firms throughout the country.

McGladrey Alliance resources also include access to a wide range of audit checklists, manuals, and programs, technical updates, and interpretations of the latest auditing and accounting standards, as well as information regarding proposed changes to the tax code and the potential impact on our clients.  In addition, our staff attends specialized training seminars presented by McGladrey, ensuring that the Firm is using the latest audit and accounting techniques on all audit engagements.

Our association with the McGladrey Alliance allows us to continue to provide the personalized attentive service of a local firm, combined with the wide variety of technical services available through a national firm.

In addition, we are affiliated with RSM International, one of the top ten largest accounting and consulting firms in the world, with partner and client relationships spanning 70 countries. Through this affiliation, we are able to provide full support to clients doing business overseas.
