The RSM McGladrey Network

As is true with many local and regional certified public accounting firms today, BST has found it beneficial to be affiliated with a national and international association of independently-owned accounting firms. Such an affiliation allows member firms to share information and resources, improve the quality of their work and better serve their clients.

In the early 1970’s, our firm was a founding member of such an organization, the National CPA Group, later to be known as BKR International. In 1997, looking ahead to the next several decades of inevitable continuing changes in our profession and planning for the continued controlled growth of our firm, the decision was made to resign from BKR International and join the dynamic, growing McGladrey Network.

Founded in 1988, the McGladrey Network is an offshoot of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, one of the nation’s oldest and largest (5th at last count) accounting and consulting firms. The Network has experienced rapid growth, with more than 90 member firms on board. Not only does BST benefit from having access to industry expertise in specific areas which we may not presently have in-house, we also receive significant marketing and practice development support and materials, state-of-the-art accounting and auditing checklists and programs, and access to a variety of cost-effective continuing professional education (CPE) programs.

In addition, we are affiliated with RSM International, one of the top ten largest accounting and consulting firms in the world, with partner and client relationships spanning 70 countries. Through this affiliation, we are able to provide full support to clients doing business overseas.
