Risk Management & Insurance Issues Facing
An Insider’s View
The Not-for-Profit Industry Service Group at BST is proud to have hosted the third program in our Impact to Impact series.
Risk Management is one of the most talked-about issues facing the not-for-profit community today. Protecting assets, income, people, clients and goodwill is always a top priority for executives and boards, since even a single unpleasant incident can have a negative impact on an organization’s reputation and its ability to attract volunteers and donors in the future.
This interactive workshop helped not-for-profit professionals understand exactly what Risk Management is and how to develop and implement simple yet effective strategies for their organizations. We examined:
Who and what is at risk
What can go wrong and what it can cost an organization
How to prevent harm from occurring to people, property, copyrights, sales, donors and the general public
What insurance coverage is necessary and how to choose the right policies
How to manage in the aftermath of an incident
