BST’s John R. Johnson Admitted as Charter Member of American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Foundation’s Forensic & Business Valuation Division
ALBANY, N.Y., December 18, 2014 – Managing Partner of BST’s Valuation, Forensic and Litigation Group, John R. Johnson, CPA/ABV, CFF, CBA, CVA, DABFA, was recently admitted as a Charter Member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) Foundation’s forensic and business valuation division. The elite group of 28 Charter Members, across the Unites States, is selected based on national merits in litigation support, forensic accounting, business valuation, and their history of serving AAML members and their clients in complex financial matters during divorce proceedings, and their commitment to integrity throughout the process.
The AAML is the nation’s premier organization for highly experienced lawyers practicing family law, and consists of the top 1,600 of the best divorce lawyers in America.
The AAML Foundation, a 501 (3)(c) entity formed by the AAML, espouses the goal to provide charitable grants to organizations nationwide to assist children; particularly those whose families are experiencing divorce. The Charter Members of the Foundation’s Forensic & Business Valuation Division, in addition to their standing as nationally recognized experts, have demonstrated a commitment to the goals of the AAML Foundation.
With extensive experience in business valuation, litigation support, taxation, and law firm management, John Johnson has participated in over 2,000 litigation cases as a consulting and/or testifying expert. He has performed thousands of valuations of closely-held businesses, professional practices, and conducted numerous forensic analyses and economic damage studies for a wide range of civil litigation matters, which include matrimonial litigation. As a result, John and his team of professionals have become widely recognized among the legal community and the judiciary for their technical knowledge and expertise.
